Burning an American flag often conjures up ideas of protest. But done properly, burning the American flag is one of two ways to properly dispose of a worn flag.
Boy Scout Troop 50 in Wetumpka has been disposing of American flags in accordance with the U.S. Flag Code for years according to Troop 50 assistant scout master Gardner Perdue.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
To prevent freezing and possible bursting of pipes they should be
wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly.
Those that have in ground sprinkler systems should drain them and
cover above ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
