Downtown Dickens, Santa’s Workshop and Rocking around the Christmas Tree are all in store for those visiting downtown Wetumpka and Village Green Park in Millbrook the next two weekends.

Cliff Williams / The Herald A Downtown Dickens will feature handcrafted goods such as pottery and baked goods Friday night. The streets will be blocked off as if it were the 1800s and many will dress for the time period. On Saturday, it shifts to daytime hours with an emphasis on downtown shopping.

Things ramp up Thursday as it is predicted to “snow” at Millbrook’s Christmas tree lighting at Village Green. Things turn even more festive with a holiday festival and parade Saturday.
