The Boneyard faithful at Boykin Field didn’t have much to bark about last season as the Holtville High Bulldogs finished 2-8, with wins over Sylacauga and Shelby County.

“The Maplesville game, I think, was the turning point,” third-year Bulldogs coach Cory Lee said. “We got down and weren’t able to recover. We were hurt physically — we had a couple of kids with concussions — and mentally. We were never really able to get our stride back.”
