Stanhope Elmore lost their first game in three weeks on the road at Russell County. The loss drops them to third in Class 6A Region 2 standings.

In a battle for the top of AHSAA Class 6A Region 2, the Stanhope Elmore Mustangs fell short at Russell County, 28-10. With this win, the Russell County Warriors remain undefeated and at the top spot in the region. 

It was a tale of two halves for the Mustangs, as they struggled to make up for a lackluster first-half performance.
