File / TPI Wetumpka’s Charlie Skipper (12) is averaging 231.8 yards per game with a total of 1159 passing yards this season. He is this week’s Elmore County Player of the Week.

Charlie Skipper got his first start for the Wetumpka Indians last season in a huge road game at Pike Road. He was just a freshman, taking on one of the best teams in AHSAA Class 6A, a team that has been consistently the best in Region 2 for the last few years.

Over a year later, Skipper has topped Class 6A in total offensive yards with nearly 1200 and led the Indians with 11 passing touchdowns. After throwing for 251 yards and five touchdowns in a huge region win last week at Rehobeth, Skipper is the Elmore County Player of the Week.
