Stanhope Elmore ready for a physical season opener at Marbury

Two physical football teams are set to square off this Friday night, as the Stanhope Elmore Mustangs travel to meet Marbury in the season opener. Last season, the Mustangs took out the Bulldogs in a 28-13 victory. 

Stanhope Elmore’s run game with graduated seniors Arthur McQueen and Jacorian Smoke ultimately allowed them to edge Marbury. This year, Stanhope Elmore is bringing back a different squad with some familiar faces. They have two first-year starters in key positions with quarterback junior Davis Foshee and junior running back Demarrian Barnes.
