If all goes as planned, this spring Elmore Mayor Margaret White will be rocking on the porch of the town’s new community center looking over a pond.

Officials gathered Friday to break ground on a new community center to serve all citizens of Elmore including seniors. It’s a project years in the making. White is happy to see it coming out of the ground less than a month before she leaves office.
