Since it opened the baseball season two weeks ago, Wetumpka has been on a roll. The Indians jumped out to a 4-1 start to the season, capitalizing on their team’s experience and the frustration from last season’s early exit from the playoffs.

On Friday, Feb. 20, the Indians defeated Sylacauga, 6-2, in their home opener. The Indians were led by senior catcher and Gadsden State commit, Logan Fawcett, in the 3-hole slot with his two hits and two RBIs. Senior second baseman Peyton Dickey also batted in two runs on one hit.
