The April 2023 shooting in Dadeville left four dead, 28 others injured and hundreds upon hundreds affected by the tragedy. And now, nearly three years later, the case is still on the minds of many. More than a hundred people gathered at First Baptist Church in Dadeville for a meeting regarding the case and the potential plea that could be offered to the suspects in the case.

According to Amy Jackson, the cousin of Keke Smith, who was one of the four fatal victims of the shooting, a plea deal that includes only five years in prison is on the table. Fifth Judicial Circuit District Attorney Mike Segrest has addressed the case with a statement, but did not confirm or deny the possibility of a plea deal.
