In a race that was almost too close to call on Election Night, Kevin Thweatt was decided as the next District 4 Tallapoosa County commissioner. Thweatt defeated Rod Siggers, 1,695 to 1,663.

“I’m very relieved and glad it’s over,” Thweatt said Tuesday night. “I’ll be glad to putting the political season behind us and getting back to work for all the people of District 4. It doesn’t matter to me how they voted. That’s done as far as I’m concerned.”
