Although three schools in the system scored a ‘C’ on last week’s Alabama state report cards, there was an overall improvement for the Alexander City Schools system, which went from an 82 in 2024 to an 83 this year.

“As a school system last year we scored an 82, and this year we got an 83,” ACS superintendent Dr. Jose Reyes said. “So we were up one point, and we are certainly pleased with that. You never are completely satisfied but certainly pleased. The high school ticked up one point to an 82 from the previous year, then Radney was really our shining star this year with an 88.”
