Last week, the Alabama Association of School Boards presented the scores from its evaluations of both Alexander City Schools superintendent Dr. Jose Reyes, Jr., and chief school financial officer Lisa Dickerson.
In a letter sent to Alexander City Schools Board of Education on Aug. 4, the board was informed that an error during moving data from “a spreadsheet to the final PowerPoint report, the overall CSFO evaluation rating was reported incorrectly.”

thunderstorms over Alexander City, moving southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Alexander City, Dadeville, Jacksons' Gap, Northern Lake Martin,
Eastern Lake Martin, Wind Creek State Park, Western Lake Martin,
Southern Lake Martin, Dare Park, Susannah Crossing, and Maxwell
Gunter Recreation Area.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and
pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any
circumstances.
Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When
possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stoke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when possible and
drink plenty of water.
To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
