When Coosa County Commission president Lamar Daugherty needed a project as a requirement of the Alabama County Commission Association, he chose child advocacy.

Last week, a part of Daugherty’s project came together in the form of Alabama Children’s Justice Leadership Academy, a half-day seminar devoted to those who protect children and their rights.
