Prior to Mike Densmore becoming mayor, the City of Alexander City had begun negotiations with a company called Cemwall Inc., which builds efficient and innovative concrete walls. In 2021, Cemwall began occupying a building owned by the city — the former Aprinta building located at 470 Joseph St. in the old Russell complex.

During the most recent city council meeting, a Cemwall partner, Scott Holmes, spoke on behalf of the company, saying he was there to field questions about the business and the current lack of contract between the company and the city to occupy the building.
