In March, the City of Alexander City was awarded two grants by Gov. Kay Ivey and the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs through the State Energy Program to support critical infrastructure and energy efficiency enhancements at the Sugar Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant, a city press release stated.
