While Alexander City Mayor Mike Densmore leads the charge on securing funding and is looking for ways to cut costs, he found that commercial utility rates were causing the city to lose money.

Densmore began working with municipal consultants as well as with water services director Lynn Miller to look at the cost of producing clean water.
