County administrator hired

After several hours of conducting interviews last month, the Coosa County Commission has hired an administrator.

Former county administrator Amy Gilliland announced she was leaving the position in March. The commission held interviews after its April meeting and approved the hiring of LaCresha Alexander as county administrator and Tammy Patterson as the county's administrative assistant at this week’s monthly meeting. Alexander was hired with a 90-day probationary period and Patterson with a 6-month probationary period.
