A Horseshoe Bend School junior will be the first Tallapoosa County Schools student to finish the Leadership Education and Training programs within Southern Preparatory Academy’s Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps. 

During LET program levels I through II, HBS junior Anna Chamberlin was taught the fundamentals of JROTC, focused on creating SMART goals and assisted in leading events such as a blood drive. When she started LET III this semester, she was promoted to battalion executive officer where she takes control for the commander when not present and works closely with the command sergeant major.
