Residents in the Lake Martin area are taking notice of Lake Martin Animal Shelter’s efforts to increase its online visibility. Its Facebook page has been revamped, brandishing a new logo, and pet spotlight and “Happy Gotcha Day” posts are seeing high engagement numbers. However, those efforts come with a dedicated team behind them and the shelter still needs support to continue saving animals.

LMAS executive director Kim Hall said its board decided the shelter could use a refresh after a few meetings. So far the entrance door and windows have been repainted by David Horsley from Lakeview Paints and Remodel. Sign Source is set to replace the sign on the entrance door window to the new logo as well. Owner of COAST Artisanship Creations Ronda Moreland fulfilled a volunteer request to spruce up the front of the shelter donating plants, planters and artwork.
