With growing uncertainty as to when SNAP benefits will be reinstated, local groups are pulling together to gather as much as possible for residents who may need help feeding their families.

A spokesperson for Alabama Department of Human Resources said if Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program recipients have a balance on their cards as of Oct. 31, those funds are still available.
