Residents of Sturdivant Road have known for a while their road was in really bad shape.

During District 6 council member Mike Lucas’s town hall meeting Tuesday night, several residents asked when the road would be paved.

Sturdivant Road is on schedule to be paved in 2027. Tallapoosa County has agreed to pave even Alexander City’s portion of the road with the city reimbursing the county for its share.
