New faces step up for Central Coosa in win over Dadeville

It’s out with the old and in with the new for the Central Coosa girls basketball team.

In a 33-19 win over the Dadeville Tigers on Tuesday, many of the new faces expected to play major roles for the Cougars stepped up to the challenge. One of them was freshman Trinitee Strong, who led the way with 12 points, scoring all of her points from behind the arc with four 3-pointers. And the other was junior Jalea Burton, who was a force defensively with 15 rebounds and five steals — both team-highs.
