ACS delves into reasons for lawsuit against Meta

Members of the Alexander City Board of Education vote on whether to join other Alabama schools in a class-action lawsuit against social media companies. The board approved the decision last week at a July board meeting. 

The Alexander City Schools Board of Education announced last week the school district will participate in a class-action lawsuit targeting social media companies. 

Superintendent Dr. Beverly Price requested the board to approve joining other Alabama schools in a lawsuit against Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram.
