A development in Alexander City entered a new stage Monday.

During the Alex City City Council meeting, city leaders moved a new hotel closer to reality and approved a project agreement with JCUP Hotels, LLC for the construction of a Holiday Inn Express.

Located by Alex City’s municipal campus, the three-story hotel will be located just off U.S. Highway 280.
