A local man has been charged with child abuse torture.
Zachary McNealy, 34, of Alexander City, was charged with child abuse torture after an incident around 5 p.m. Sept. 26. According to court documents, McNealy “struck (the victim) multiple times with a closed fist in the chest, arms, hands and face, leaving several red marks, abrasions and bruises on the chest, arms, hand and ribs.”
