When the flu begins running rampant in a school, it can quickly spread throughout a community, as junior brings it home to mom and dad, parents take it with them to work, and influenza’s sniffles, coughs and aches keep spreading from there.

The Alexander City School System will try to stop that problem before it starts on Monday, as they offer students the FluMist influenza vaccine at all campuses Monday. Most parents should already have the consent forms, according to ACS Lead Nurse Charity Spann.
