UPDATE: The charges against the defendant in this case were no billed by a Tallapoosa County Grand Jury in August 2024.

Earlier this month, Summer Welch, 34, of Alexander City, was arrested and charged with chemical endangerment of exposing a child to an environment in which controlled substances are produced or distributed.
