The Alexander City City Council approved two resolutions Monday, which will add more than $1 million in improvements to the city’s airport. 

The city council awarded a bid to Gary Ingram Paving & Grading for an apron expansion and taxilane construction at the Thomas C. Russell Field Airport in the amount of $1,447,000.
