Alexander City man charged with rape, kidnapping in Ohio

Z’yon Deshun Owens, 19, of Alexander City, finds himself in an Ohio county jail after being charged with two counts of first-degree rape and two counts of first-degree kidnapping.

Owens, a 2023 Benjamin Russell graduate, was arrested and booked into the Muskingum County Jail on Sept. 29. Wednesday, he appeared in court to plead not guilty on all charges. His trial is set for Tuesday, Dec. 12.
