Nearly 40 science projects covering a wide range of topics were on display at Alexander City Middle School’s science fair this week.
The winning project was “Rock ‘n Rock Candy,” by eighth-graders Jordan Osborne and Emily Shaw. Second place went to seventh-graders Holley Humphrey and Paige Forbus for their project, “How Arteries Affect a Heart’s Blood Flow” while “How do Chicks Breathe Inside their Shells?” submitted by eighth-graders Lexi Garrett and Lillian Parker took third.
