Auburn student creates for Dadeville’s yarn shop

Abigail Murphy / The Record Abby Ledbetter first started crochet work when she was 8 years old. With 11 years of crochet experience, she sells some of her pieces at The Yarn Shop Around the Corner in Dadeville.

Walking into The Yarn Shop Around the Corner, you may notice several completed crochet pieces. The hands behind some of these pieces is Abby Ledbetter.

Ledbetter started crocheting when she was eight years old. Now a rising sophomore at Auburn University, she continues to crochet in between classes, her duties with the Tiger Eyes flagline and the women’s choir.

Submitted / The Record One of Ledbetter's biggest stuffed animals are her unicorns. She said bigger projects like this can take her up to 20 hours to make.
