The 24-hour span of Aug. 17 through the 18 might be a day that Benjamin Russell defensive lineman Char-Zale Davis will remember for the rest of his life.

At 5:14 p.m. on Aug. 17, Davis announced on Twitter (X) the University of South Florida extended him his 11th scholarship offer. At 7:53 p.m., it was the University of Tennessee coming in 12th. The next day at 7:39 a.m., it was Florida Atlantic at No. 13, then Ole Miss at 8:35 a.m., and four minutes later Cincinnati — jumping his total from 10 offers to 15 in a 14-hour timeframe. And according to Davis, that number could have easily been 18 with some of the other schools he was talking to at that moment.
