Local author Peggy Walls will discuss Tallapoosa County’s history of gold mining Monday, July 15, during the second installment of the upcoming “Journey Stories” lecture series.

Walls said the lecture, which will be held Monday at 5 p.m. at Adelia M. Russell Library, will explore why gold miners came into the area now known as Tallapoosa County, how they lived and why they left.
