Benjamin Russell High School driver’s education students now have a new tool to help bridge the gap between the instruction they receive in the classroom and the risks they take on city streets.

The school purchased a golf cart with state funds to help train their teenage driving students. Driver’s education teacher John C. Elliot said they opted to buy the golf cart for the current school year to give the school’s most inexperienced drivers a chance to get behind the wheel before they ever began driving on public streets.
