City school enrollment decreases

Fewer students returned to school in Alex City than in years past. 

Alexander City Schools experienced a net loss of 50 students for the 2023-24 school year. Superintendent Dr. Beverly Price said she was uncertain of the cause Thursday during a board of education work session, but most of the losses came at younger ages.
