Newly reelected members of the Tallapoosa County Commission joined together this week in swearing an oath that they would honorably discharge the duties of their elected office. 

County commissioners formally assumed office following the completion of vote counting in the Nov. 8 election. Tallapoosa County Probate Judge Talmadge East finalized the electoral process Wednesday and presided over a swearing-in ceremony in the commission’s chamber.
