County sees multiple resurface roads, culvert repairs

With a county that’s 65 miles long by 45 miles wide, there’s a lot of roads to cover, but some improvements are underway.

This past year the Tallapoosa County Engineering, Road and Bridge Department worked on several roads. One was Pearson Chapel Road, which was improved through an ALDOT High Risk Rural Road grant. The grant provided about $848,000 and the project overall cost $1.74 million.
