During a recent Kiwanis meeting, assistant county engineer Phillip Neighbors gave an update on the plans for Highway 34.

Last year through the High Risk Rural Roads program, the county received funding to redo the east side of Highway 34. HRRR is a program that offers funding for roads with a certain number of accidents to be updated and made safer.
