According to City Finance Director Steve Hays, sales tax revenue for the city in the upcoming year will be similar to revenue from 2010-2011.

“This year I think I’m being conservative to estimate $7.25 million in sales tax, which is really flat with expectations,” Hays said. “I can’t imagine it getting any worse than it is, and we might have a few more jobs in town than we did the prior year.”
