East to serve second term as probate judge

Tallapoosa County probate judge Tal East will enter his second term at the start of 2025.

In the 2024 election, East ran unopposed, moving him into his second six-year term as probate judge. In Tallapoosa County, the probate judge is responsible for multiple duties for the citizens in the county. East serves as the Tallapoosa County Chief Elections Officer where he works alongside Tallapoosa County Sheriff Jimmy Abbett and circuit clerk Patrick Craddock to conduct county elections.
