Family moved by soldier’s memorial

It was Arabie’s first chance to see the display since it was donated two years ago. Odom was killed in Vietnam. Doris Odom Arabie just wanted her brother’s memory to live on.

That’s why she worked to find a place to display the silver star, bronze star and a purple heart earned by Alexander City native John Thomas Odom.
