Federal cuts impact local food pantry, recovery programs

Submitted / TPI The Camp Hill Food Pantry continues to meet the community's needs while facing federal cuts.

Dozens of individuals come to the Camp Hill Food Pantry every week, but recent cuts have made it more difficult to help those experiencing food insecurity.

“We're having to say, ‘If you don't live in Camp Hill, we can't really serve you, because we don't have the resources,’” First Universalist Church pastor and coordinator of the pantry Darcy Corbitt said. “Our financial resources haven't changed, but how much we can get from the food bank has changed, and we have to make sure that we can still feed the people who live in the community.”
