Snappie is a Belgian Malinois who formerly served as an Alex City Police Department K9. He recently participated in a K9 narcotics competition against other police dogs, and he was named one of the top two in the southeast.

The competition was designed to have common errors police dogs might make in order to evaluate the skill level of the dogs. The dogs had to find indicating odors of narcotics while avoiding other smells.Â
