Gunman attempts convenience store robbery

Alexander City Police Department investigators are searching for a suspect in a bold convenience store armed robbery that took place in broad daylight Saturday.

But instead of getting away with a big haul of cash, the gunman fled the store when the clerk confronted the suspect and refused to hand over anything.
