Starting in October there will be new rules for the lake. 

HB209, also called the proximity bill, was recently enacted into law — adding wakeboarding and wakesurfing restrictions to Lake Martin and Weiss Lake. The act “prohibit(s) the operation of a motorboat above idle speed within 100 feet from any shoreline, dock, pier, boathouse or other structure” on the water.
