Horseshoe Bend park visitor center announces temporary park closure beginning Monday

File / The Outlook Horseshoe Bend National Military Park is doing renovations for its visitor center but the park grounds including the boat ramp, tour road, natural trail and restroom facilities will continue operating under normal hours.

Horseshoe Bend National Military Park’s Visitor Center will temporarily close for renovations beginning Monday as the closure is scheduled to last about five weeks, according to a release from the park.  

Horsehoe Bend lead park ranger Stacy Speas said the reason for the closure is to make several renovations to the museum inside the visitor center.
