The Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Department and the New Site Police Department are looking into the death of Martin Thomas Sweat.

“At approximately 4:15 p.m. (Sunday), the department responded to the scene in a wooded area behind a residence in New Site where the victim was found,” Tallapoosa County Sheriff Jimmy Abbett said.
