Local officials prepare for the worst

Law enforcement officials are getting a lesson in emergency preparedness this week through Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training.

Over 20 officials from the Alexander City Police Department, the Alexander City Fire Department, the Clay County Sheriff’s Department, the Coosa County Sheriff’s Department, the Alabama Marine Police and the Alabama Department of Conservation are participating in a two-day ALERRT active shooter response class Thursday and today in Millerville.
