Alexander City must now pay for a portion of developing the K Street project, which was originally slated to be paid with stimulus dollars, due to a name game that comes with a $35,000 price tag.

“It was presented as the K Street project, however it was actually going to extend a little beyond K Street onto 63,” Councilman Bill Young said. “They will not allow us to use the money for anything other than the K Street portion.”
