Nationwide alert test set for this Wednesday

Alert Email inbox and spam virus with warning caution for notification on internet letter security protect, junk and trash mail and compromised information.

At 1:20 p.m. FEMA and the Federal Communications Commission will test the wireless emergency alert and emergency alert systems.

The WEA will be sent to all consumer cell phones and EAS sent to radios and televisions. According to a press release, both entities are coordinating with EAS participants, wireless providers and other stakeholders to lessen confusion and prioritize public safety.Â
